Charis Williams is an artist, and the presenter and interior designer on ‘The New Reclaimers’ on UKTV Home. Charis started her re-use career saving building materials from landfill and now works hard to create awareness for the huge amounts of textiles, furniture and usable building materials going to waste. She can show you where to find the forgotten gems, whether you’re looking for clothes or a new look interior. She loves to make over homes with passion and colour, bringing dull tired rooms back to life, and she likes to get her hands dirty while showing you the tricks of the trade and how to bring it in on budget.
Charis has always taken great interest in fashion and loves to look good in unusual and one of a kind clothes and takes pride in being a professional bargain hunter. Shopping for good quality second-hand and vintage items is one her favourite past times and is a skill that was nurtured as she grew up in her mother’s vintage shop in Brighton, and from the age of five travelled the country and further afield to find interesting and one off clothes for the shop. Since then, finding these items has become a way of life and she is ready to show the world how they can look and feel fantastic on a budget by shopping second hand and revamping clothes.
Charis started modelling from the age of 19 for magazine adverts and has more recently modelled as the face of bespoke designer jewellery store FSDS in Brighton.
Charis also paints bespoke artwork for her clients, including alternative portraits and trompe l’eoil and she is the creator of Chavey Statues. She is a proud mum of two adorable children and has recently written and illustrated a children’s book which has gained the attention of numerous publishers... one to watch!'
